My Story - Timothy McCune

I am not a career politician. I am a husband, a father, a caregiver, and a lifelong community servant who understands the real challenges families face every day.

My wife and I have lived in Brentwood since 2009, where we are raising our two sons with special needs. Being a father to children with special needs has shaped who I am. It has given me firsthand experience with the challenges families face with healthcare, education, services, and rising costs. These experiences are why I am committed to fighting for families who often feel unheard by government.

Service to others has always been a central part of my life. I serve my community as a volunteer firefighter, answering the call when my neighbors need help. I am also a volunteer ice hockey coach for a special needs hockey team, helping young athletes build confidence, teamwork, and opportunity through sports.

Professionally, I work as a home health aide providing pediatric special needs care. Every day, I support families facing challenges that many policymakers never see firsthand. This work has given me a deep understanding of how government decisions directly impact real people and real lives.

I also serve as President of the Safety Net of Hope nonprofit, working to support individuals and families in need throughout our community. My leadership has always focused on helping others, solving problems, and strengthening our neighborhoods.

I am running for Pennsylvania State Representative in the 36th District because I believe government should listen to the people it serves. I want to be a voice for families, taxpayers, and our community - people who want practical solutions, safer neighborhoods, and accountable leadership.

My campaign is built on a simple belief: elected officials should represent the people - not special interests or political insiders, but the residents of their district.

I am committed to listening to my neighbors and taking your concerns directly to Harrisburg. If elected, I will fight to protect families, strengthen our communities, and ensure every voice in the 36th District is heard.

For me, this campaign isn’t about politics - it’s about service.
